Rose Bruford College
Location: London Borough of Bexley
Date: 2000 - 2004
Client: Rose Bruford College
The Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance is located within the historic estate of Lamorbey Park in the London Borough of Bexley. The college redevelopment plans created new-build rehearsal and performance spaces with further workshops, teaching and ancillary spaces clustered around the former estate yards and outbuildings.

The historic parkland contains sites of Nature Conservation Importance, majestic veteran oaks and sweet chestnuts and mature black pines set within a landscape that is now fragmented in ownership and management. The site planning reconfigured the external spaces to accommodate the new architectural programme while creating a sensitive collegiate setting for ad-hoc rehearsals and performance and replenishing the tree-stock for the long-term. The practice authored an extensive cross-boundary landscape conservation management plan as part of the project.
