Hortus catalogi
Location: Westonbirt Arboretum
Date: 2002 - 2002
Client: Forestry Commission
The garden was designed and selected for the inaugural Westonbirt International Festival of Gardens in 2002 against the magnificent backdrop of the arboretum, considered to be the finest collection of trees and shrubs in existence.

The 10m x 10m plot, one of twenty, celebrated regeneration, growth and the beauty of British native trees. It challenges what constitutes a garden with serried ranks of successional forest trees, of local provenance, planted into a bed of Caledonian forest pine cones with seedling Scots pine. The arrangement is framed in steel with an suspended walkway enabling the visitor to enter into the heart of the plot and become immersed in the nature of a micro-woodland without disturbing its ecology.
